Our emotions affect the way we move. If we are sad or dejected, our movements are heavy and slow; if we are angry, they become sharp and expressive. Moving the body beyond it’s usual limitations generates energy on both physical and psycho-emotional levels. Releasing tension in the body leads to the release of tension in the mind.
Feelings and memories from childhood accumulate in the joints, muscles, and organs. Our joints enable us to move gracefully and fluidly; they connect thought and feeling with action. If this connection is restricted or blocked, energy cannot flow freely, and grace and ease vanish. That is why exercise helps release the body from accumulated stress, emotions, feelings, and thoughts. Engage in sports—it is the only way to free yourself. It fosters a positive mindset and inner strength.
